Abbot Downing, part of Wells Fargo’s Wealth and Investment Management group, has named Joe Freeman to a newly created role as senior managing director of family office services.
Freeman will work on an integrated cross-platform family office strategy to ensure that family offices can access Wells Fargo’s wide range of products and services in a One Wells Fargo approach.

In addition, he will also manage Abbot Downing’s custody services.
Freeman, who has 25 years of experience in the wealth management industry, was most recently Abbot Downing’s MidAtlantic regional managing director.
He headed the Mid-Atlantic Abbot Downing practice for five years as regional managing director, overseeing a team of relationship managers, planners, private bankers and investment specialists.
He also held roles including relationship manager, investment strategist and trust officer at Wells Fargo.
