Apollo Global Management provides private equity, credit and real estate services based in the US. Rowan started Apollo Management, L.P. with former Drexel Burnham colleagues Leon Black and Joshua Harris in 1990.

Prior to that time, Mr. Rowan was a member of the mergers & acquisitions group of Drexel Burnham Lambert Incorporated, with responsibilities in high yield financing, transaction idea generation and merger structure negotiation. Mr. Rowan currently serves on the boards of directors of the general partner of AP Alternative Assets, L.P., Apollo Global.
