Total income down, pre-tax up at Barclays in H1
Total income slid by £4m ($6.23m) to £892m at Barclays in the first half six months of 2012 but increased 5%, or £44m, on a year-on-year basis. Pre-tax profits increased by 38%, or £33m ($51.4m), to £121m at Barclays in the first half of 2012 compared to the first half of 2011.
Ameriprise Financial Q2 income down by 29%
Ameriprise Financial, Inc. has reported second-quarter net income attributable to the company of $223m or $0.99 per share, down from $315m or $1.25 per share in the comparable quarter last year.
