Gottex Fund Management, a Swiss-based provider of alternative investment solutions and advisory services, is reportedly planning to launch new Asia-tilted multi-asset products and an A-share fund in the first quarter of 2015.

In addition, the firm is also seeking to develop retail versions of its liquid alternative strategies in the first half of 2015, according to Asian Investor.

Gottex will launch the A-share China fund by partnering with Vstone Asset Management and has applied for an RQFII license and investment quota.

Gottex is also looking to boost its business development teams globally with five marketing positions across Europe and the US to sell the new products.

Recently, Gottex Fund Management has hired James Hughes as managing director in its senior multi-asset investment team in London.

Max Gottschalk, Asia CEO at Gottex, said: "We have seen a material increase in demand for China investment products, so we want to make sure we have strong distribution capabilities in Europe and the US for these and other Asia-dedicated products. We are looking at Ucits and US mutual fund structures for a retail launch."
