The AllianzGI Emerging Markets Debt Fund seeks to deliver current income and capital appreciation over the long term and can be a long-term strategic holding across all types of investments in this asset class.
The Fund’s managers have the flexibility to invest in their best ideas across a range of emerging markets debt strategies that include diverse debt instruments — including companies or countries of any credit rating or currency — while also employing techniques designed to constrain the Fund’s overall risk profile. This flexible approach allows the Fund’s experienced team to build a portfolio that fully reflects their views of an asset class where individual securities exhibit an exceptionally wide range of risk and return.
Understanding country-specific risks and actively positioning a portfolio are two keys to investing in the wide range of debt instruments available in emerging-market countries. The Fund’s portfolio managers have an average of 19 years of experience and work in financial centers around the world to research local companies and countries, providing efficient access to the capital markets.
"We believe that having a global presence combined with local decision making provides around-the-clock research and trading can lead to faster and better decisions — and potentially deliver attractive results to shareholders," said Saichin.
