Alliance Trust has named Peter Michaelis as new head of equities replacing Ilario di Bon, who has left the firm to pursue other opportunities.
In his new role, Michaelis will oversee an equity investment team under the management of the trust’s CEO and CIO, Katherine Garrett-Cox.

Meantime, Simon Clements, who was previously head of global equities at Aviva Investors, has been promoted for the management of Alliance Trust’s equity portfolio.
Michaelis and Clements joined Alliance Trust in 2012.
