BlackRock has hired Edward Bang as new head of multi-asset strategies for Asia-Pacific.
Based in Hong Kong, Bang will report to Ryan Stork, head of Asia-Pacific; and Ken Kroner, global head of multi-asset strategies.

In his new role, Bang will expand the multi-asset strategies business and represent the firm’s multi-asset capabilities, including investments, products, services and tools
Bang joined BlackRock from UBS Global Asset Management, where he served as head strategist, Asia Pacific, for global investment solutions.
Prior to this, he worked as the CEO and head of Asia at Olivant for two years and also as a senior equity portfolio manager for York Capital Management, Wellington Management, Fidelity and The Boston Company.
Kroner said: "Edward joins BlackRock as we accelerate build-out of our multi-asset platform across the globe. He will assess the broader marketplace in Asia Pacific and deliver the breadth of our global offering, while building our multi-asset platform so we can serve clients with the solutions and value they seek."
