EdenTree Investment Management has poached Andy Clark from HSBC Global Asset Management (HSBC GAM) to serve as its new CEO.

Besides, she will be part of the group management board of Ecclesiastical Insurance, the parent of EdenTree.

She replaces Sue Round, who has been holding the role of CEO on an interim basis in addition to her role as deputy chairman.

Round’s remit

Round will continue to work as deputy chairman, while Clark assumes the news responsibility on 14th of this month.

At the same time, Round will continue to serve as the lead fund manager for the Amity UK Fund. She has managed the vehicle since 1988.

Clark’s background

Clark noted: “What was immediately obvious to me was the strong culture at EdenTree of existing to contribute to the greater good of society.

“Not just in terms of investment strategy but also in its unique charitable ownership structure.”

Clark worked for eight years as the CEO of HSBC GAM UK.

She also worked as the CEO of DWS Investments and UK sales director at Fidelity International.
