US-based investment manager Pimco has named Gregory Hall as its new head of U.S. Global Wealth Management (GWM), replacing Eric Mogelof.
Mogelof is quitting the firm following a 17-year tenure.

Hall’s background
Hall will report to Pimco CEO Emmanuel Roman and operate out of New York.
As U.S. GWM head, Hall will be in charge of the firm’s U.S. GWM team to offer diverse strategies to wealth clients.
Among these strategies are core fixed income, income strategies, municipals, credit, as well as enhanced cash and longer-term illiquid strategies.
Hall has been working at Pimco since 2017, latterly as the managing director and head of Private Strategies.

For this purpose, he has worked with several units of the firm.
He has been integral in identifying areas of investment opportunity, sourcing key talent, and translating the firm’s research capabilities into innovative strategies to meet client requirements.
In his 21-year long financial career, Hall also worked as the senior managing director at Blackstone Group.
At Blackstone, he was responsible for spearheading the development of various alternative investment businesses.

The firm employs more than 2,800 people and has offices worldwide.
In March this year, Pimco appointed Theresa Tan as head of South Asia client management and its Singapore office.
