BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) has named Steven Billiet as the new head of its Asia Pacific unit, replacing Ligia Torres.
Billiet will assume the news responsibility on 8 August 2020 and operate out of Hong Kong.

He will report to BNPP AM global head of Client Group Sandro Pierri and BNP Paribas Asia Pacific head Eric Raynaud.
He joined the firm earlier in 2020 in the role of head of distribution for Asia Pacific, a position he will continue to hold along with new role.
Earlier he was the CEO of JP Morgan Asset Management in Singapore.
In this role, he managed the firm’s client segments in South East Asia and Korea.

Out of this, he spent 18 years in CEO roles across different regions including Australia, India, Singapore and Taiwan.
Meanwhile, Torres will retire from the firm and return to Europe next month.
