US-based VisionQuest Wealth Management has merged with Charlotte-based wealth management firm Griggs Capital Management.
Following the merger, the combined firm will operate under the VisionQuest brand and will remain headquartered in Raleigh.

Randall Griggs, president and founder of Griggs Capital Management, said that the merged firm is planning to open a new office in Charlotte.
As part of the merger, Randall Griggs, founder of Griggs Capital Management will serve as senior vice president at VisionQuest and also as a member of its investment committee.
Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Griggs said: "The addition of VisionQuest’s holistic wealth management planning and strategies will open up opportunities to my clients and help me to develop and grow my business in new ways."
