The Fund invests primarily in common stocks of companies with small market capitalizations located in developed and emerging markets outside the U.S.

The Fund normally invests at least 80% of its assets in equity securities of small capitalization companies, as defined in its Prospectus. The Fund primarily uses a quantitative investment approach and intends to normally hold between 120 and 200 stocks.

The Fund is managed by Arjun Jayaraman, PhD, CFA, head of quantitative research for Causeway; MacDuff Kuhnert, CFA, director of quantitative research; and Joe Gubler, CFA, quantitative portfolio manager.

"There are pricing inefficiencies in many international small cap equity markets, creating investment opportunities on which we seek to capitalize," said Dr. Jayaraman.

"We believe international small cap stocks offer higher growth compared with their large-cap peers, yet often trade at comparable valuation levels. Using our quantitative investment process with a fundamental research review, we believe we can find investment opportunities for Causeway International Small Cap Fund that offer potential valuation discounts relative to larger capitalization companies."

"We will launch a new strategy only when we have a high level of confidence that we can add value," said Sarah Ketterer, chief executive officer of Causeway.

"We have used our quantitative investment process combined with a global fundamental research review to manage our emerging markets strategy since 2007, and we believe that international small cap investing is a natural extension of that capability. A significant number of stocks in non-US small cap indices are located in emerging markets. We think this Fund could be a valuable addition to investors’ portfolios."
