British investment manager Polar Capital has announced board changes and said that it intends to appoint David Lamb as the non-executive chairman.

Lamb is expected to succeed Tom Bartlam, who will retire after serving as the chairman for nearly 13 years.

Bartlam has been on the company’s board since July 2007.

Lamb will also chair the Nomination Committee as well as become a member of the Remuneration Committee.

Lamb is expected to be handed over the new role at the company’s AGM that is slated to be conducted this July.

In his three-decade-long financial career, Lamb worked as the managing director and chairman of the investment committee at St James’s Place (SJP).

He also served as the deputy chair of the board of governors at the University of West of England.

Additionally, Polar Capital expects the appointment of ex-Cazenove Capital Management chief Andrew Ross as the non-executive director.

At present, Ross is the vice chairman of Wealth Management at Schroders.

He served as the global head of Wealth Management after Schroders’ purchase of Cazenove.

The management changes at Polar Capital await regulatory nod.
