Lloyds Private Banking has nabbed Jon Wingent from Close Brothers Asset Management as head of portfolio specialists.
Wingent in his new role will also become a senior member of the bank's Wealth Investment Office. He will report to Markus Stadlmann, chief investment officer of the firm.

Commenting on the appointment, Stadlmann said: “Jon increases the investment leadership at Lloyds Private Banking, strengthening an already well-established and well-connected team of investment experts.
“His background in money management and experience with private clients allows us to improve the support and guidance which we provide to our client-facing colleagues and, ultimately, our customers.”
At Close Borthers Asset Management, Wingent was investment director. There he also worked on multi and single asset portfolio advice for the firm.
Prior to Close Borthers, he also held investment roles at EFG Private Bank, Merrill Lynch and Barclays Wealth.
