The firm has appointed Tarek Sherlala as its new senior executive officer for the Dubai branch along with Rajai Ayyash, who will take on the role of regional executive for the Gulf region, following the retirement of Tarek Elrefai, former senior executive officer, Dubai branch and head of client management for the Middle East and Africa region.

Sherlala will head business strategy operations for the branch under the patronage of the Dubai Financial Services Authority and oversee compliance of BNY Mellon’s activities within the Dubai International Financial Centre.

The new senior team includes Imad Abukhal, Giambattista Atzeni, Brian Hoey, Clive Robinson and Bana Akkad Azhari.
