British wealth manager Charles Stanley has named Louise Fletcher as the head of middle office, a newly-created position.

Fletcher will be tasked with standardising Charles Stanley’s middle office as well as creating a central support function for the firm.

She previously served as the firm’s external consultant. In this role, she is said to have laid the groundwork for remodelling operations through decrease in duplication.

Fletcher earlier worked as the head of business change at Aviva Investors. She spent a total of 12 years at the firm.

Commenting on the new appointment, Charles Stanley CEO Paul Abberley said: “This appointment is a critical component of our restructuring work to help achieve our overall strategic aims of improving functionality across the business and centralising areas of expertise.

“I am delighted to welcome Louise to the Charles Stanley team who has an impressive track record in organisational change. This will be invaluable in helping transform our processes and systems to improve operational efficiency.”
