French banking group Societe Generale has named Franck Bonin as the new CEO of Societe Generale Private Banking Switzerland (SGPBS).
Bonin succeeds Olivier Lecler, who will now manage the Monaco, Switzerland as well as Luxembourg operations of Societe Generale Private Banking.
Bonin has been part of the French banking group since 2001. He has held the position of commercial director at Societe Generale Private Banking since September 2017.
Recent developments at Societe Generale
Last month, Kleinwort Hambros, the UK wealth management arm of Societe Generale, made two appointments.
Among the new appointments is Chris Thomson, who has been handed over the role of the head of UK Regions.
At the same time, Kleinwort Hambros appointed Steven Porter as the head of its client service team.

In the same month, Societe Generale also offloaded its Belgian private banking arm to ABN Amro.
Notably, in July this year, Bloomberg reported that Societe Generale is mulling the sale of Kleinwort Hambros. The bank reportedly approached potential buyers and is working with Rothschild & Co on the issue.
In June, MFEX agreed to take on the global fund trading platform of Societe Generale Securities Services in Luxembourg.
