Swiss banking major UBS has appointed Greg Kennedy as new head of its private solutions business for the Americas.

The private solutions business will provide financing services to corporations and wealth management clients, reported Bloomberg.

In his new role, Kennedy will report to James Palmer, UBS’ head of equity capital markets for the Americas.

Prior to joining UBS in 2012, Kennedy worked with Barclays as co-head of financial institutions for the Americas.

Additionally, Steve Pierson has been promoted as sole head of financial institutions in the Americas. He joined UBS in 2013 from Credit Suisse Group.

The new hires will restructure the firm’s financial services advisory practice.
