Richard Staveley, who currently co-manages the UK Smaller Companies fund with Parker, will assume full management of the fund during the transition process.
Prior to establishing Majedie in 2002, Adam was a member of the Alpha Team at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM). He began his career in 1987 at Mercury Asset Management, which was later acquired by MLIM.
Parker said: "Majedie has progressed beyond our imaginings back in 2002 and I will leave behind a remarkable team. I remain personally invested in the UK Smaller Companies Fund and have no doubt that Richard will steward the portfolio successfully in the years ahead."
