The Hong Kong office will offer a range of services to address the tax and wealth management concerns of private clients.
These services include family office advisory, corporate advisory, due diligence as well as multi-jurisdictional taxation consulting.
All this will be done in close collaboration with the team operating out of the firm’s Sydney base.

Chapman Eastway CEO Sean Cortis said: “Increased regulatory and tax compliance, together with sustained geo-political uncertainty, are making it increasingly difficult to manage significant wealth.
“The appointment of Jean-Frederic Gagne further strengthens our capabilities in Hong Kong and helps our team develop the strategies to navigate a growing number of wealth management and tax issues.”
The expansion is believed to be crucial considering Australia’s recent free trade agreements with its Asian partners.
“Today, our team in Hong Kong and Sydney has even more expertise to manage cross-border complexity and to help clients structure solutions and preserve peace-of-mind,” Gagne noted.
