L. Vincent Elliott, Founder, Managing Director Fortiter Wealth Management

After 15 years in the financial services industry, Mr. Elliott created Fortiter Wealth Management with the specific purpose of creating a better client experience in wealth management for affluent individuals and their families.

Prior to Fortiter Wealth Management, Mr. Elliott was a Director at Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management, advising clients and their families in all aspects of their financial affairs including financial planning, investment consulting, family wealth education, stewardship and more. He has also served with the Private Client Group of Bernstein Investment Research & Management as a founding member of the firm’s Houston office.

Mr. Elliott studied Electrical Engineering at Texas Tech University and received his B.S. in Management Information Systems from the University of Houston. He is a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association and has earned Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) and Chartered Private Wealth Analyst (CPWA) designations from the Wharton School of Business. He is also a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute at the Wharton School.

Mr. Elliott is a Founder and Advisory Board Member of National Christian Foundation – Houston. He is a past or present board member of the National Board of Directors for Dare2Share Ministries in Denver, the Houston Metro Steering Committee and the West Houston Committee for Young Life. He is also active in many civic, church, and political organizations, and considers his 30 years of service as a volunteer leader with Young Life at The Kinkaid School among his most fulfilling adventures.

Carey Cooney, Director of Client Services

As Director of Client Services, Mrs. Cooney serves Fortiter Wealth Management’s high net worth clients by providing operations, service, and administrative support. She is the firm’s chief point of service for client requests, new account openings, trading, preparation support for client review meetings and liaison with the firm’s custodian of assets and other partners.

Prior to joining Fortiter Wealth Management, Mrs. Cooney served clients at Deutsche Bank as a Registered Sales Assistant. Her responsibilities included account opening, maintenance, trading, asset movements and other aspects of client service for high net worth individuals with assets totaling approximately $250 million. Additional career tenures include wealth management, financial services and investment roles at Prudential, Bank One, Wachovia and Principal Financial.

Shannon McCue, Director of Operations

Shannon McCue serves as Fortiter Wealth Management’s Director of Operations. In this role, she provides functional support to high net worth clients developing and streamlining effective operational structures to support ongoing business strategies and initiatives. Mrs. McCue works closely with the firm’s numerous partners to provide individualized customer service and coordinates directly with the Director of Client Services to facilitate client requests.

She previously served clients as a Registered Sales Assistant at Deutsche Bank’s Private Wealth Management Office in Houston. Her responsibilities included account opening and maintenance, trading, asset movements, and other aspects of client service for high net worth individuals with assets totaling $250 million. Prior to moving to Houston in 2011, Mrs. McCue worked for Deutsche Bank as an Analyst in their Risk Graduate Program based out of New York with training rotations abroad in London, Geneva and Frankfurt.

Harris Britt, Analyst

Harris Britt is an investment analyst at Fortiter Wealth Management. Mr. Britt’s responsibilities include asset allocation studies, asset manager searches, investment performance monitoring, manager style analysis and ensuring the proper information flow between the firm and our clients.

Prior to joining Fortiter Wealth Management, Mr. Britt spent three years working with Cru in Austin, Texas before earning a Masters in Finance from The University of Texas McCombs School of Business. He also received a B.A. in History from the University of Texas.
