Meantime, the firm’s COO Ben Money-Coutts will assume the CFO role on an interim basis until a permanent replacement is found.

Money-Coutts, who joined Charles Stanley in May 2013, has worked as the COO of its financial services arm and as interim head of compliance.

He joined Charles Stanley from Saltus Partners where he worked as a partner, CFO and COO since 2007. Prior to this, Money-Coutts worked as head of corporate broking at Bridgewell Securities and also at Charterhouse and ING Barings.

Rawlingson joined Charles Stanley as group finance director in 2011 from Coutts. His exit follows the hire of Paul Abberley as CEO.
