British alternative investment management firm Man Group has appointed former UBS Limited chief John Cryan to its board as a non-executive director.
Cryan, who is currently a member of the supervisory board of Deutsche Bank, chairman of Deutsche Bank’s Audit Committee and a member of the bank’s risk committee, will bring extensive experience to Man Group from his non-executive positions.

Previously, Cryan served as the president of Temasek International’s European operations between 2012 and 2014, prior to which he was the chairman and CEO of UBS EMEA.
He held a number of senior roles at UBS over his 25 years career with the banking group including his position as group chief financial officer between 2008 and 2011.
