Nomura has unveiled plans to restructure its asset management unit which includes Nomura Asset Management (NAM), Nomura Funds Research and Technologies (NFR&T), and Nomura Private Equity Capital (NPEC).

As part of the restructure, NAM will acquire NFR&T’s operations related to the management of investment trusts and its institutional investor advisory business.

In addition, NAM will also take over the complete operations of NPEC.

Nomura seeks to offer enhanced service to its clients by merging its marketing, investment and management units under NAM as well as increasing the efficiency and stability of its investment management operations.

Upon completion of the restructure, Nomura aims to focus on delivering high quality investment products to cater the needs of investors by using the specialized expertise in NAM and NFR&T.
