Swiss bank UBS is planning to create 1000 new jobs by the end of this year for its business solutions center in downtown Nashville as part of a five-year hiring plan.
Additionally, the bank is planning to open a wealth management office in Williamson County that will employ nearly 20 financial advisors and support staff.

"I’m very comfortable saying this time next year we’ll have 1,500 people," said Bob McCann, CEO of UBS Wealth Management Americas.
McCann added that he expects UBS to nearly double the number of staff at its Nashville solutions center in the coming year.
UBS, which currently employs 220 staff across its eight wealth management offices Tennessee, intends to boost the number to roughly 270 over the next year.
Meantime, UBS has exercised options to expand to two additional floors in the UBS Tower.
