European asset manager Carmignac has made multiple promotions across its European equities, cross asset as well as fixed income teams.

The firm has promoted two members of its European equities team, Huseyin Yasar and Malte Heininger, as co-fund managers.

In the new role, Yasar will be responsible for co-managing the EUR420m Carmignac Portfolio Grande Europe fund. Yasar will co-manage the fund along with Muhammed Yesilhark.

Yasar, who joined the firm in the role of an analyst, earlier served in the mergers and acquisitions arm of Goldman Sachs and later in the London offices of SAC Global Investors.

Heininger will serve as the co-manager for the Carmignac Euro-Patrimoine as well as Carmignac Portfolio Euro-Patrimoine funds, along with Muhammed Yesilhark.

Heininger previously worked as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley.

Later, he worked for nearly four years in the London offices of SAC Global Investors, where he was responsible for co-managing a portfolio of European equities.

Moreover, the company has named Pierre Verlé as its head of credit.

Verlé will replace Keith Ney in the new role. Ney will now focus on managing the EUR6.5bn Carmignac Sécurité fund, which he has been managing since January 2013.

Verlé most recently co-managed the distressed debt fund at Butler Investment Managers in London, and was responsible for managing special situations investments for France and Benelux at Morgan Stanley.

In addition, the company has reorganized the cross asset team which is headed by Frédéric Leroux.

The company has recruited Julien Chéron as the co-manager with Leroux on the Carmignac Investissement Latitude and the Carmignac Portfolio Investissement Latitude.

Chéron initially joined Carmignac as a risk manager in 2009, and since 2011, as a quantitative analyst in the cross asset team.

Chéron, holding 14 years of experience in risk management and quantitative analysis, previously served at CDC Ixis Capital Markets, CDC Corporate & Investment Bank and Anakena Finance.

Chéron and Verlé will take up their new roles immediately.
