Macquarie Group has hired UBS Global Asset Management’s Americas head Shawn Lytle as the new president of Delaware Investments, its asset management arm in the US.
Lytle will serve a gardening leave of three months at UBS before joining Delaware in June this year.

Blake Moore will succeed Lytle as head of global asset management Americas at UBS.
In the new role, Lytle will replace Patrick Coyne, who will retire later in 2015. However, Coyne will remain at Delaware Investments through September 30 to assist in the leadership transition.
Lytle will also take over Coyne’s responsibilities as regional head of Macquarie Investment Management for North America.
Lytle joined UBS Global Asset Management in 2002 in London in the role of a global portfolio manager, and later was designated as deputy global head of equities before assuming his current role.

Prior to working at UBS, Lytle served for 10 years at JP Morgan Asset Management in various positions including global equity portfolio manager and as part of the initial sales team establishing the external US mutual funds business.
