Pictet Asset Management has expanded its London-based emerging market debt team with the hiring of Emrah Kagitcibasi as a senior investment manager.
In his new role, Kagitcibasi will be based in the firm’s London office and will report to Simon Lue-Fong, who serves as the head of emerging market debt and manages six Pictet funds as well as one emerging market mandate.

Kagitcibasi has seven years of investment experience. He most recently served at New York-based emerging market hedge fund firm Rohatyn Group.
At Rohatyn Group, he served as a portfolio manager for seven years specialising in EMEA hard and local currency.
Before that, he worked at Bluecrest Capital where he focused on emerging markets as well as held trading positions at Lehman Brothers and JP Morgan.
He started his career in 1992 as a senior auditor in Ernst & Young’s Financial Services Practice.
