Italian banking major UniCredit has appointed Marco Bizzozero as its new head of group wealth management, effective from 1 March 2018.

Bizzozero has 25 years of broad international experience in the financial industry. He is joining UniCredit from Deutsche Bank, where he most recently served as head of wealth management for EMEA.

He also held the role of CEO of Deutsche Bank Switzerland for eight years since 2009. Prior to that, he was global head of private equity investments at Deutsche Bank.

Earlier, he also held several positions in investment banking and private equity with UBS in Zurich, New York and London. He previously also served as head of private equity secondary investments at LGT Capital Partners.

Bizzozero in his new role will report to UniCredit general manager Gianni Franco Papa.
