Janus Henderson has appointed George Maris and Alex Crooke as the co-heads of equities.

The new appointments come after current global head of equities Graham Kitchen decided to step down from the position for charity role in March 2018.

Maris will be based in Denver and will manage the firm’s equities team in the US. Crooke will lead the equities team for the Europe, Middle East and Asia and will be based out of London.

Both Maris and Crooke will report to the company’s global chief investment officer, Enrique Chang.

Established in 2017 from the merger between Janus Capital Group and Henderson Global Investors, Janus Henderson has $360.5bn of assets under management.

The company has a workforce of more than 2000 employees and offices in 27 cities across the globe.
