Sanlam UK, part of South African financial services group Sanlam, has appointed Charlie Parker as head of portfolio management for wealth management business.
Parker will focus on the firm’s wealth management business and oversee development strategies. He will work closely with Sanlam Wealth CEO John White.

Prior to this appointment, Parker served Neptune Investment Management for three years as head of asset management. He also worked with Citywire financial publishers as director.
“Portfolio management is going through complex challenges as the sector deals with regulatory changes and I am looking forward to heading up this division at Sanlam and developing a proposition that meets the specific needs of our clients,” Parker said.
