Switzerland-based Falcon Private Bank has named Philipp Korach as new head of private banking international, effective from 1 October 2015.

In his new role, Korach will be responsible for managing the business areas Western Europe, Middle East & Asia, Eastern Europe and Swiss Domestic including the front units of the bank’s external asset managers’ business.

He will be reporting to global head of private banking Erich Pfister.

Korach was most recently head of greater china (Switzerland) at Credit Suisse. He has also held several managerial roles at Clariden Leu and Credit Suisse for Asian, Latin American and NRI clientele both in Switzerland and abroad.

Additionally, the bank has appointed Simon Michael Gaston as CEO of Falcon Private Wealth in London, replacing Nick McCall who has stepped down to pursue opportunities outside the bank.

Gaston will assume his new role on 1 October 2015 and will report to Erich Pfister.

Gaston joined Falcon Private Wealth from Barclays where he was CEO of the wealth & investment management division and country head Switzerland. He also worked with Bank of Tokyo, CS First Boston, Lehman Brothers and UBS in London, South Africa and Zurich.
