From 2001 to 2009 Sawazki served as managing director of Oppenheim Research GmbH. In April last year, he returned to Sal. Oppenheim as a managing director and took over the "strategic clients within private asset management" Portfolio Management team.

In addition, the bank has also strengthened its investment expertise through the bond expert Sonke Siemben. He has been head of the newly created Bond Portfolio Management area since April this year.
Siemben joined BayernLB in Munich in 2005, where he expanded Fixed Income Research. His most recent post there was as head of Investment Research. Prior to that, he had spent 10 years in various positions at WestLB Mellon Asset Management in Dusseldorf, including as asset and fund manager.
