Presently, Coutts is focused on building the ranks of its senior directors, with it already having increased the number of senior directors by a third.
The bank had hired about 20 new senior executives and a further 10 are due to join shortly.
Michael Morley, chief executive of Coutts UK said "This investment will position us for the industry changes that will come about at the start of 2013."
It has already hired chief risk officers in the UK and Asia and has brought in a new head of regulatory affairs and compliance.
