In his new role, as a part of TD’s broader US franchise strategy, Williams will be responsible for driving an expansion strategy for the TD Wealth business and will report to Bharat Masrani, president and CEO of TD Bank, and Leo Salom, executive vice president, Wealth Advice Businesses, TD Bank Group.

He will be based in New York City and will oversee all US Wealth functions serving HNW clients, including Private Banking, Private Investment Counsel, Private and Institutional Trust, along with mass affluent clients, by leveraging TD’s partnership with TD Ameritrade.

It is through TD Wealth that TD Bank and its subsidiaries provide clients with customized wealth management services.

Having joined TD Bank in 2001, Williams was responsible for building out the company’s retail banking franchise in New York City, and most recently, he had served as chief of staff for TD Bank president and CEO Masrani.

Additionally, Williams is the chair of TD Bank’s People with Disabilities Committee. Prior to joining TD, Williams had served as vice president for Dime Savings Bank and had led the East Coast sales and marketing division for the company’s subsidiary North American Mortgage Insurance.
