COGES will continue to operate as an independent brand within the Banque Baring Brothers Sturdza Group, providing continuity for its current clients, and offering a complementary platform of services and skills. All COGES staff are being retained, with Luca Micheli becoming CEO. The current CEO Philippe R. Calame will join the Board of COGES and become a member of the bank’s management team, reporting directly to Eric I. Sturdza, President.

"We are delighted that COGES is joining our house as we share the same vision and values. The philosophy of the bank is centred on ethics, trust and continuity. These values have sometimes been forgotten by the banking industry in its pursuit of growth and earnings," said Eric I. Sturdza, President of the bank.
"We view this strategic move as an excellent opportunity for our clients and our firm. With Banque Baring Brothers Sturdza we have found the ideal home that provides our clients with continuity and security while retaining our independence and agility. Our team looks forward to working with the Bank’s management to build an exclusive suite of private banking services," commented Philippe R. Calame of COGES.
It is also envisaged that the new platform could attract other independent asset managers who wish to avail themselves of the services of the COGES team and Banque Baring Brothers Sturdza.
