Australia-based investment and wealth management firm, Equity Trustees Limited (EQT) has appointed Julie Foster to the newly created role of national manager of advice and personal services, as part of its expansion of the private wealth services business.

Foster will be responsible for EQT advice services, including its aged care advisory and placement businesses, corporate superannuation advice and personal wealth management.

With more than 20 years of experience in the financial services sector, Foster has worked in distribution and marketing roles at several organizations such as Tower Australia, Suncorp, Commonwealth Bank and Colonial Limited.

Most recently, she ran 4Quadrant, a business consulting and change management company for the financial services industry.

EQT head of private wealth services, Geoff Rimmer, said: "The new role also aims at working more closely with financial planning groups to provide specialist support and assistance in a post-FoFA environment."
