Barclays Wealth and Investment Management has appointed Paul Howland as deputy head of its Isle of Man trust businesses.
A Barclays employee for 20 years, Howland has also joined the boards of the Barclays trust companies, Barclays Private Bank & Trust (Isle of Man) and Barclays Wealth Trustees (Isle of Man).

Howland joined Barclays Private Bank & Trust (Isle of Man), initially working in support, securities, treasury and investment roles before focusing on trust work in 1996. He progressed to manager and team leader overseeing a trust and company administration team primarily focused on the East African region.
In February 2012, Howland was appointed head of administration for Barclays’ Isle of Man Wealth Advisory business, with responsibilities including business performance and project management, before becoming a vice president in the Wealth Advisory team.
Howland said. "I will be working closely with, and deputising for, local managing director Alan Patrick, to ensure continued delivery of client needs and strategic business objectives.
"I am looking forward to taking on the rewarding challenge of assuming direct responsibility for several client relationship teams servicing high net worth clients in more than 90 countries around the globe."
