"When investing in emerging markets, one can have the best value by having people on the ground who know and can analyse the trends in each market," the publication quoted Mark te Riele, head of marketing and distribution of BNP IP, as saying.
The asset management unit of France’s BNP Paribas Group told its clients that the common theme among these markets is their big, growing and relatively young populations that provide a good base for consumption.
Brazil, Russia, India, and China (BRIC) have attracted the attention of investors before and are still continuing to do so albeit in a more sporadic scale.
Indonesia, South Korea and Turkey have also been investment destinations in the past and are beginning to attract renewed interest in recent years despite some political uncertainties in these countries.
