The company claims that its new service will allow hedge fund and private equity fund managers to easily exchange and collaborate on files via desktop computer, mobile device or tablet.

The FlexDrive server is located in the Abacus Group private cloud, where users get all of the inherent benefits of SAS70 and SSAE16 certification as well as Abacus’ intrusion detection.

Data stored with FlexDrive is also synced across multiple machines and the internet, allowing users to work with Excel files that have Bloomberg Data Point (BDP) links coming in from Bloomberg, the company added.

Art Murphy, director of client development at Abacus Group, said: "With Abacus FlexDrive, your business partners in other states and countries can share files and collaborate on projects with assurance that they are all working from the right documents within a highly secure and reliable environment."
