Allianz Global Investors has added sterling hedge share classes to its £241million Allianz Income and Growth fund and £377 million Allianz Flex Asia Bond funds, according to Fundweb.

Allianz Income and Growth fund, which managed by Doug Forsyth, invests in a mix of global equities, bonds and convertible bonds and the new share class will distribute a monthly 6% pay-out.

Cheng Chee Seng’s Allianz Flex Asia Bond fund targets on Asian bonds and currencies which are considered to be undervalued compared with the dollar.

Allianz Global Investors head of retail sales, Nick Smith, said: "We continue to see growing demand from advisers for products that will help clients achieve their financial goals even in an environment of financial repression.

"Both these funds go a long way to be able to achieve this which is why we have introduced the sterling share classes," added Smith.
