Swiss private bank Reyl & Co has appointed Gideon Wittenberg as COO and senior client manager at its London office.
Reyl launched London unit in February this year and is headed by former Morgan Stanley banker Ladislas Safyurtlu It focuses currently on the wealth management activity but is aiming to soon branch out into broader corporate advisory services to entrepreneurs, family offices and other wealthy individuals.

According to publication Investment Europe, Wittenberg officially joined Reyl in May 2013. Previously he worked at SG Hambros Bank in London as a private banker and group commercial manager.
In his new role, Wittenberg will work with Safyurtlu to develop Reyl London, including offering the palette of services, from fund management (Reyl Asset Management) to private office services (Reyl Private Office) and investment banking, Investment Europe’s report added.
The Reyl group overall has assets of some CHF8.5 billion.
Safyurtlu said: "Gideon’s appointment is another step towards establishing a lasting presence in London in order to maintain genuinely close ties with clients and ensure a flawless level of service."
