UBS Wealth Management Americas has appointed Bruce Lanser, a former Morgan Stanley Wealth Management financial advisor, as the institutional consultant.

Lanser, a 30-year veteran of the wealth management industry, is now working in Milwaukee for the wealth management arm of UBS, reporting to branch manager Mike Kelly. He is joined at UBS by his wife and partner, Bernadette Lanser.

While at Morgan Stanley, the pair oversaw US$600 million in client assets and generated an annual production of US$1.1 million.

Both Mr and Mrs Lanser joined Citigroup in 1993, and remained with the firm following its merger with Morgan Stanley in 2009. Previously, Mr Lanser also worked at Merrill Lynch for nearly a decade.

A spokeswoman for Morgan Stanley confirmed the departures but declined to comment further.
