Coutts has appointed Vivienne Ng as executive director and head of the China desk of its London-based international division.

Ng will be based in London and will report to Michael Mount, managing director and head of Coutts & Co’s International business.

She will be responsible to further enhance the links between Coutts’ Asian and UK operations and bolster the business’s international strategy in the UK.

Ng, who has over 20 years of experience in private banking and wealth management industry, joins Coutts from Credit Suisse (UK) where she was a director for the Greater China and South East Asia team.

At Credit Suisse, she was responsible for developing the firm’s private client business in the Chinese and Asian HNW and UHNW segments, with a specific focus on Greater China, Hong Kong and South East Asia.

Prior to that, she spent eighteen years at UBS where she held a variety of roles in the wealth management and business banking space. Ng started her career at Mitsubishi Bank in Hong Kong and Swiss Bank Corporation, which then merged with UBS.
