Michalitsianos will replace John Anderson, who has left the firm last month. Previously based in New York and working across both institutional and retail fixed income mandates, Michalitsianos has been with JP Morgan since 2002. He will begin work on the fund with immediate effect.
In his new role, Michalitsianos will be responsible for investment strategy and managing sterling corporate bond exposure across the firm’s global fixed income client portfolios and will report to Lisa Coleman, head of investment grade credit. Michalitsianos will now be based in London.
Coleman said: "Andreas is a highly skilled investor with a thorough knowledge of UK corporate credits, who will be leveraging a diligent investment process.
"In this capacity he will access the resources of a global team with six portfolio managers, 11 specialist credit analysts and two dedicated traders with extensive experience across the UK and European credit markets."
