British private bank Kleinwort Benson has appointed Gemma Woodward as the new head of charities, to lure more business in the philanthropic sector.
In her new job, she will mainly be responsible to offer investment advice to charity clients, as well as advising them on cash management and socially responsible investing.

She will report to Kleinwort Benson’s private wealth management head Stephen Rothwell.
Prior to accepting the current role, she served Newton Investment Management for more than 10 years, where she acted as a manager on the socially responsible investment fund for charities.
Woodward started her career at Lloyds Private Banking prior to joining to Henderson Global Investors’ private asset management business, and then moved to Newton Investment.
Expressing his views on the appointment, Rothwell told Financial News, "Gemma has a good track record advising charities on how best to discharge their investment responsibilities. She will make a powerful addition to our growing team."
