Asset management firm Aviva Investors Americas has appointed Lyda Iturralde as chief compliance officer.
Based in Chicago, Iturralde will be responsible for implementing the firm’s compliance strategy, policies and procedures; and for investment compliance.

She will report to the firm’s CEO Patrick O’Brien and Andra Purkalitis, chief legal officer. Iturralde will work directly with senior management and provide counsel on a wide range of compliance-related matters.
Prior to joining Aviva Investors, Iturralde was associated with Calamos Investments, where she was director of compliance. Prior to Calamos, she worked for Ziegler Lotsoff Capital Management as chief compliance officer.
Commenting on the appointment, Purkalitis said: "Lyda has extensive asset management experience and brings a demonstrated track record. Her experience will help Aviva Investors continue to foster a best-in-class compliance program."
