UK-based asset manager M&G Investments is planning to launch a Global Corporate Bond fund on 5 September 2013.

The new fund, which will be managed by Ben Lord, will invest in global corporate grade bonds issued in any currency from firms based in any country.

The fund will also have the ability to invest in high yield and government bonds.

Apart from the new fund, Lord currently manages Richard Woolnough’s M&G Corporate Bond and Strategic Corporate Bond funds.

Both the existing corporate bond funds have a total of over £10bn invested in them.

Investment Week reported that Lord is also acting as co-manager of the M&G UK Inflation Linked Corporate Bond and the M&G European Inflation Linked Corporate Bond funds.
