Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) has created a new executive role within its wealth division as part of the company’s strategy to transform customer engagement.
The bank has named Kerri Thompson as managing director of bancassurance and customer experience for ANZ Wealth effective 2 December 2013.

Based in Sydney, she will report to ANZ Global Wealth CEO Joyce Phillips.
Phillips said the company created the role to help it further transform the way in which it engages with customers and expand the relationships with ANZ’s existing customer base.
"Kerri is an experienced executive with a track record of growing businesses and has a strong focus on building customer relationships," Phillips said.
Thompson has been managing director Retail New Zealand since March 2010 and prior to joining ANZ, she was a senior executive at General Electric and Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
