Coutts, the private banking arm of RBS, has appointed Robert Hemphill as executive director of digital solutions, effective immediately.

In his new role, Hemphill will be responsible for the ongoing development of Coutts’ private banking and wealth management digital channel proposition.

Based in London, he will report to Joe Norburn, managing director and head of Digital & Front Office Solutions.

Hemphill has been working on the finance sectors since 20 years across Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Prior to joining Coutts, he held various executive and senior management roles across the management consulting, banking and wealth management industries including six years at The National Australia Bank, culminating as head of digital strategy.
